Is airsoft legaal in Nederland?
Ja. Airsoft is legaal in Nederland en valt onder de Wet wapens en munitie. Spelen mag alleen bij erkende locaties en evenementen, zoals alle locaties op deze kaart; nooit zomaar in bos, tuin of park. Voor het bezitten van een eigen replica heb je een vrijstelling nodig via lidmaatschap van een erkende airsoftvereniging: de NABV (verreweg de grootste, en de bron van deze kaart) of de kleinere ACA.
Wat heb ik nodig om te beginnen?
Weinig: je ID, stevige schoenen en zin. Je draait als introducé (18+) mee op een open skirm en huurt replica, schietbril en bescherming ter plekke; de verhuurlocatie meldt je aan bij de NABV. Bevalt het? Dan word je NABV-lid en kun je daarna richting een eigen replica. Tip: klik een locatie aan op de kaart; bij de voorzieningen zie je of er verhuur is (Cat 1 replica rental).
Hoe oud moet ik zijn?
18 jaar, zonder uitzondering. De Wet wapens en munitie stelt 18+ voor airsoft, ook als introducé, en toestemming van ouders verandert daar niets aan. Voor jongeren bieden sommige locaties wel aparte junior-airsoft met licht speelgoedmateriaal (CE-speelgoed, geen echte replica's); check daarvoor de locatie zelf.
Wat is het verschil tussen outdoor en CQC/indoor?
Outdoor = bos-, veld- en terreinlocaties: grotere afstanden, camouflage, langere games. CQC/indoor (Close Quarters Combat) = gebouwen en arena's met korte zichtlijnen en snelle, intense gevechten. Op de kaart: groen = outdoor, oranje = CQC/indoor, blauw = schietbaan (IAPS / target shooting).
Kan ik spelen zonder eigen replica?
Ja: veel locaties verhuren replica's en bescherming ter plekke; je wordt dan als introducé aangemeld. Ideaal voor je eerste skirm: ID mee, stevige schoenen aan en gaan.
Kan ik airsoften zonder NABV-lidmaatschap?
Ja, als introducé: maximaal 6 keer per jaar (18+). Normaal neemt een NABV-lid je mee en meldt die je aan (maximaal 2 introducés per lid), maar bij open skirms met huurset regelt de locatie de aanmelding meestal voor je, zodat je gewoon alleen kunt komen. Neem altijd je ID mee; de introducéverklaring krijg je bij de aanmelding. Vaker spelen? Dan word je NABV-lid.
Wat is de NABV?
De Nederlandse Airsoft Belangen Vereniging: de grootste erkende vereniging die airsoft in Nederland mogelijk maakt. Op ACS Compound na (ACA-erkend) staan alle locaties op deze kaart op de officiële NABV-locatielijst. airsoftmap.nl is onafhankelijk en niet gelieerd aan de NABV of de ACA.
Doet airsoft pijn?
Een beetje. Een BB voelt als een korte, felle tik, vergelijkbaar met een elastiekje; op korte afstand iets feller. Met een goede schietbril (verplicht), gezichtsbescherming en een extra laag kleding is airsoft erg veilig. Velden hanteren bovendien vermogenslimieten (joule, gecontroleerd met een chrono) en minimale schietafstanden.
Wat kost airsoft?
Entree voor een open skirm kost 25 tot 35 euro; met huurreplica en bescherming erbij meestal 45 tot 70 euro. BB's (biologisch afbreekbaar, verplicht) koop je vaak los ter plekke. Speel je vaker, dan komt daar een NABV-lidmaatschap bij (69 euro per jaar plus 15 euro inschrijfkosten en een VOG van circa 34 euro; zie nabv.nl voor de actuele bedragen) en een eigen replica: instapmodellen beginnen rond de 150 euro, plus bril, BB's en accu of gas.
Hoe vervoer ik een replica?
In een afgesloten tas of koffer, niet zichtbaar en niet direct te gebruiken (accu of gasbron eruit), en alleen rechtstreeks van en naar een erkende locatie, winkel of onderhoudsadres. Vervoer is voorbehouden aan leden (18+): neem je ledenpas en ID mee, en reis niet in volledige camouflage. Laat een replica nooit zichtbaar in de auto liggen. Zie nabv.nl voor de precieze regels.
Welke locatie is het beste voor beginners?
Kies een locatie met de voorziening Cat 1 replica rental: daar huur je alles en draai je vrijblijvend mee met een open skirm. Balls and Arrows Lelystad en Area 077 (Venlo) draaien elk weekend; Area 077 heeft op dinsdagavond ook een Rookie Try Out. Gladiator Sports (Almere) heeft elke laatste zondag van de maand een open skirm met beginnerspakket. Wat is het verschil tussen AEG, GBB en HPA?
AEG (elektrisch, met accu) is betrouwbaar, onderhoudsarm en het beste startpunt. GBB (gas blowback) heeft realistische terugslag maar is gevoeliger voor kou en vraagt meer onderhoud. HPA (perslucht via tank en regulator) is extreem consistent en instelbaar, maar duurder en je draagt een luchttank mee. Begin met een AEG en upgrade later naar je speelstijl.

Is airsoft legal in the Netherlands?
Yes. Airsoft is legal under the Dutch Weapons and Ammunition Act. Playing is only allowed at recognized venues and events, such as every location on this map; never in a forest, garden or park. Owning your own replica requires an exemption through membership of a recognized airsoft association: the NABV (by far the largest, and the source of this map) or the smaller ACA.
What do I need to start?
Very little: ID, sturdy shoes and enthusiasm. You join an open skirm as an introducé (guest, 18+) and rent a replica, goggles and protection on site; the rental venue registers you with the NABV. If you like it, join the NABV and work toward your own replica. Tip: click any venue on the map; its facilities show whether rental is available (Cat 1 replica rental).
How old do I have to be?
18, no exceptions. The Dutch Weapons and Ammunition Act sets 18+ for airsoft, including guests (introducés), and parental consent does not change that. Some venues do offer separate junior airsoft for younger players using light toy-grade devices (CE toys, not real replicas); check the venue itself for that.
Outdoor vs CQC/indoor: what's the difference?
Outdoor = woodland and field venues: longer engagement ranges, camouflage, longer games. CQC/indoor (Close Quarters Combat) = buildings and arenas with short sightlines and fast fights. On the map: green = outdoor, orange = CQC/indoor, blue = shooting range (IAPS / target shooting).
Can I play without owning a replica?
Yes: many venues rent replicas and protection on site; you play as a registered introducé (guest). Perfect for your first skirm: bring ID and sturdy shoes.
Can I play without NABV membership?
Yes, as an introducé (guest): up to 6 times per year (18+). Normally a NABV member brings you along and registers you (max 2 guests per member), but at open skirms with a rental set the venue usually arranges the registration for you, so you can simply come alone. Always bring ID; you receive the introducé declaration when registered. Want to play more often? Join the NABV.
What is the NABV?
The Nederlandse Airsoft Belangen Vereniging: the largest recognized association that makes airsoft possible in the Netherlands. Every location on this map is on the official NABV list, except ACS Compound (ACA-recognized). airsoftmap.nl is independent and not affiliated with the NABV or the ACA.
Does airsoft hurt?
A little. A BB feels like a short, sharp snap, comparable to a rubber band; a bit stronger up close. With proper eye protection (mandatory), face protection and an extra layer of clothing, airsoft is very safe. Fields also enforce power limits (joules, checked with a chrono) and minimum engagement distances.
How much does airsoft cost?
Entry to an open skirm costs 25 to 35 euros; with a rental replica and protection usually 45 to 70 euros. BBs (biodegradable, mandatory) are often sold separately on site. How do I transport a replica?
In a closed bag or case, not visible and not ready for use (battery or gas removed), and only traveling directly to or from a recognized venue, shop or repair address. Which venue is best for beginners?
Pick a venue with the Cat 1 replica rental facility: you rent everything there and join an open skirm. Balls and Arrows Lelystad and Area 077 (Venlo) run skirms every weekend; Area 077 also has a Rookie Try Out on Tuesday evenings. Gladiator Sports (Almere) runs an open skirm with a beginner package every last Sunday of the month. Up north, Copperhead Tactical (Assen) and ACS Compound (Munnekezijl) rent sets too. What is the difference between AEG, GBB and HPA?
